Compute the derivative of a given function

Compute the derivative of

    \[ f(x) = x \tan x. \]


We recall from a previous exercise (Apostol, 4.6 Exercise #25) that (\tan x)' = \sec^2 x. Then, using the product rule we have,

    \[ f'(x) &= \tan x + x \sec^2 x. \]
