Compute an integral of (3x^2 – 4x + 2)

Compute:

    \[ \int_{2}^3 (3x^2 - 4x + 2) \, dx. \]

Using the formula for the integral of polynomials, we compute:

    \[ \int_{2}^3 (3x^2 - 4x + 2) \, dx = \left. \left(3 \left(\frac{x^3}{3}\right) - 4 \left( \frac{x^2}{2} \right) + 2x \right) \right|_{2}^3 = (27 - 18 + 6) - (8 - 8 + 4) = 11. \]
